Fred and Christine went to Vanuatu in August 2018 with John and Winsome Edwards From Sowers Intl. Things didn't turn out the way they expected but they were still able to be used by the Lord. (Almost seems like hte church has a ministry in painting)

At the same time John, Joyce, Brian and Rob were in Fiji with Marine Reach

A couple of weeks ago the youth took the service. As always, we had a group of nervous teenagers doing their best not to mess up. And they didn't. Mess up that is. They did really well. Miriam lead her music team well, Carlahna lead us in communion well, and Steven preached well. The others who participated, read, prayed, sang and played well. I have only heard favourable comments from those who were there with many asking when the next one is.
The countdown has begun to our trip to Israel, only 8 weeks to go. We are getting very excited. Pastor Liron from Kehilat Haderech sent us some pictures and a video which we didn't manage to download in time for Sunday morning's focus on the congregation so I am posting them here for us.
A great night with Steve and Ainsley Apirana.
What a great day it was last Sunday as we baptised five church members. The feeling of family was evident as well as we shared a meal together and enjoyed God's creation
Thanks to everyone who helped out at the Garage Sale, Car Wash and Sausage Sizzle. We managed to round off our fund raising for Miriam, Daniel, Luke and Ben to go to Beach Mission this Summer (no pun intended).
It was great to see so many people turn out for the working bee on Saturday to help Sharlene with the clean up of her section. A real sense of family and unity as we worked together (particularly for those who had never been involved with something like this before). Sadly I didn't get any photos of people working, just morning tea.
There were a few trees that needed chopping at the back of the church so the men got stuck in and chopped. Special thanks to Clint Alley for expertise and to Graham for supervision
