why israel?
When I mention that, as a church, we are on a journey of discovering what manner our worship of the God of Israel should take many people look round for the skull cap and prayer shawl and wonder if you have to be circumcised to join the church.
Nothing could be further from the truth. Firstly, we are not under the law and secondly we're gentiles, not Jews. However we recognise that 2,000 years of 'Western Christianity' has moved us a long way from what you and I would call Biblical Christianity and we're trying to discover how to get back there without throwing out the baby with the bath water.
To that end, Sharon and I, with our two youngest children, spent 6 weeks in Israel, speaking with Messianic and Arab believers and learning more about the Jewish foundation of our faith. As Paul says in Romans 11, we are "grafted in to Israel". We want to know what that means for us back here in New Zealand.
We took lots of photos and lots of videos which I encourage you to enjoy. And I am more than happy to answer any questions about our journey. Or should I say journeys.
